I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question. The Department of the Attorney General has advised that as courts do not electronically record within the court’s computer system the names of any responsible person or surety for a juvenile accused in the Children’s Court, an electronic search is not possible. Therefore, each individual Children’s Court file would have to be searched to locate the name of a particular responsible person or surety. Due to the time required to gather the necessary data, I ask that the question be placed on notice.
