Note: Subsidy figures are based on accrued container volumes in any given financial year. Volumes are rounded to the nearest 100.
(a)
2007-08
(i)  The subsidy paid for each full container moved by rail was $100 for a forty foot equivalent unit (FEU) and $50 for twenty foot equivalent unit (TEU). Volumes are described in TEU.
(ii)  $3.135 million was paid in subsidy to move containers by rail.
(iii)  62 700 TEUs, received the subsidy.
(iv)  580 300 TEUs were moved through the port.
(b)
2008-09
(i)  The subsidy paid for each full container moved by rail between July 2008 and May 2009 was $100 for a FEU and $50 for a TEU.
The subsidy paid for each full container moved by rail between May 2009 and June 2009 was $95 for a FEU and $45 for a TEU.
(ii)  $3.013 million was paid in subsidy to move full containers by rail.
(iii)  60 700 TEUs, received the subsidy.
(iv)  565 200 TEUs were moved through the port.
(c)  2009-10
(i)  The subsidy paid for each full container moved by rail between July 2009 and August 2009 was $95 for an FEU and $45 for a TEU.
The subsidy paid for each full container moved by rail between August 2009 and June 2010 was $90 for an FEU and $45 for a TEU.
(ii)  $2.061 million was paid in subsidy to move containers by rail.
(iii)  45 700 TEUs, received the subsidy.
(iv)  557 400 TEUs were moved through the port.
