(1) How much state government financial support was provided to the Gravity Discovery Centre in 2007–08 and 2008–09? (2) What was the budgeted amount for the Gravity Discovery Centre in 2009–10, and what has been expended so far? (1) In 2007–08, the Gravity Discovery Centre received $150 000, and in 2008–09 it received a further $200 000 from the Department of Commerce. (2) The budgeted amount for 2009–10 was $150 000, with an additional $117 000 provided in January 2010. A total of $262 000 was paid in 2009–10. A final payment of $5 000 will be paid in June 2010. These figures reflect funding by the Department of Commerce. (3)–(4) The Gravity Discovery Centre has, since 2004, received more than $925 787 in state government funding. On accepting the final payment, the Gravity Discovery Centre agreed that no further funding be forthcoming. As far as the Department of Commerce is aware, there is no federal funding granted to the Gravity Discovery Centre.
