Ms Davies asks a supplementary question regarding the timing of a decision on the Alkina Holdings project in York, specifically if the decision will be made before the next state election. The Minister's answer is non-committal on timing but implies the Labor government prevented the landfill from already operating.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY — ALKINA
HOLDINGS PROJECT — YORK
852. Ms M.J. DAVIES to the Minister for Environment:
I have a supplementary question. If the minister cannot or
will not advise when this decision will be made, can he at least confirm for
the good people of York whether they will know their fate before the next state
election?

AnswerView source ↗

I will make a decision at the appropriate time, but I will
tell the people of York that if it had not been for a Labor government, that
landfill facility would already be operating.
