93. Hon Peter Collier to the minister representing the Minister for Police:

Will the minister confirm whether there are any suburbs within the Perth
metropolitan area that the Department of Justice or Corrective Services has
identified and notified the Western Australia Police Force as unsuitable or not
recommended for electronic monitoring?

If yes to (1), on what basis were those suburbs deemed unsuitable?

I thank the member for some notice of the question. The
following answer has been provided to me by the Minister for Police.
(1)–(2)
Offenders or accused persons subject to electronic monitoring—both in
metropolitan Perth and regional WA—are monitored 24 hours a day, seven
days a week by Department of Justice staff at the State Operations Command Centre
alongside the Western Australia Police Force.
