I refer to the Public Transport Authority's passenger rail network, and I ask: (a) do trains on the Ellenbrook, Airport, and Midland lines currently all leave and arrive on a single platform in Perth; (b) if yes to (a), does this cause train delays as trains are required to wait at stations for the platform in Perth to clear; (c) if yes to (b), for how long are the trains having to wait; (d) in reference to (a), is any log or record kept of the cumulative time that this issue is having on passenger travel times; (e) if yes to (d), can a one-month example of impacts to passenger travel times be tabled; and (f) if no to (a), was this recently the practice?

(a)-(f)  Services from Midland, Ellenbrook and High Wycombe generally arrive on Platform 7; and services to Midland, Ellenbrook and High Wycombe generally depart from Platform 8.
An extended dwell on either platforms 7 or 8 may delay other services but the Public Transport Authority can re-route trains through Perth to mitigate this.
