Regarding the State Administrative Tribunal's decision to extend the operations of the concrete batching plants in the residential and business area of East Perth, I ask:
(a) will the Minister provide all associated information, including local research, independent constituency feedback and any other scientific data that supports the planning extension of the concrete batching plants in East Perth, and if not, why not; and
(b) will the Minister seek independent university testing of the area to inform the Minister whether or not the environmental safeguards are being regularly adhered to and are meeting acceptable standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency, and if not, why not?

(a) No, I do not hold this information. My decision to approve the applications of the concrete batching plants to continue to operate, subject to a time limit of five years, follows the applications being heard by the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT). In making this decision, I accepted the recommendations and reasons of SAT. I can make available the recommendations and reasons delivered by SAT in respect of its consideration of these matters, if required.
(b) No. Environmental standards are set by the Environmental Protection Authority and enforcement of these standards is the jurisdiction of this authority.
