I refer to recent incidents of misguided animal activism perpetuated under this Government’s watch including an incident on 4 November 2019, where police resources were deployed to escort a livestock transporter, and the malicious targeting of Perth Butcher, Vincent Garreffa, both online and through a protest outside his lawfully operating business on 9 November 2019, and I ask: (a) were any arrests, charges or move-on-notices issued in relation to these above events; (b) if yes to (a), will the Minister please provide details; (c) was a police helicopter deployed to respond to either of these events, and for how many hours was it required; and (d) what is the cost to the taxpayer for the deployment of a police helicopter for one hour, and is it more or less than the $2,795.00 listed in the Police (Fees and Charges) Regulations 2018 ?

The information provided in the question is insufficient to identify a specific incident relating to police resources being deployed to escort a livestock transporter on 4 November 2019.
However, on 4 November 2019, police responded to persons protesting the live transportation of chickens outside the Inghams factory in Osborne Park. Three move-on notices were issued.
The WA Police Force attended and dealt with a protest at Mondo Butchers, Inglewood on 9 November 2019, without arrest, charges or miss on notices.
(c) . Yes, 20 minutes to the incident on 4 November 2019 at Osborne Park.
(d). $2 795.00 per hour prescribed under the Police (Fees and Charges) Regulations 2018 is based on an average of actual operating and deployment costs of the various rotary aircraft (inclusive of crew, salary, fuel and maintenance costs etc).
