I refer to the former Swan Valley Nyungah Community camp. Given that the select committee reported that a child witness to the rape of a two-and-a-half-year-old toddler at the camp also alleged abuse against himself, and that he identified 10 other children allegedly abused at the camp to a Department for Community Development caseworker who took notes, and given that there was an 18-month delay by the department in following up the allegations - (1) Were any of the 11 children interviewed or monitored by Department for Community Development officers before and after they left the camp? (2) If not, why not; and, if so, when were those interviews conducted and concluded? (3) How many of the children were found to have been abused during and after their time at the camp, what was the nature of the abuse and what was their relationship to the perpetrator? (4) What action was taken to protect the children from further abuse? Hon KATE DOUST
