I refer to the Government’s response to the Legislative Assembly's Standing Committee on Education and Health Report, The impact of FIFO work practises on mental health: Final Report , specifically to recommendations 4, 12, 18, 19 and 26, and I ask: (a) when will the Mental Health Commission have completed considering existing research; (b) when does the Mental Health Commission anticipate it will be able to commence additional research in the identified gaps; (c) what additional resources will be provided to the Mental Health Commission to conduct this research; and (d) will the Minister commit to implement any recommendations of the Mental Health Commissions eventual research?

(a) The Mental Health Commission is currently undertaking a literature review related to recommendations 4, 19 and 26. This is expected to be completed in early 2016.
(b) The literature review for recommendations 4, 19 and 26 will determine the scope and methodology for any additional research to be undertaken by the Mental Health Commission. Depending upon research design and associated ethics approvals, it is expected this will commence mid-2016.
(c) Additional resources required to conduct the research will depend upon the research design(s) identified through the literature review and proposals received from the various tender applications.
(d) The Minister will consider the additional research and the implications following the completion of the research.
