I refer to the statement during Estimates in 2016 by the Deputy Premier that 'Yes; we don’t agree with privatisation' and ask: (a) Does the Minister intend on maintaining Peel Health Campus as a Public Private Partnership once the existing management contract has expired: (i) If not, why not; and (b) Has the Minister instructed or asked any agency in his control to assess the feasibility of cancelling the management contract with Ramsay Health Care before it expires and if so: (i) On what date did Minister make such an instruction; and (ii) Will the Minister table the advice he has received in relation to cancelling the contract?

I am advised that:
(a) The South Metropolitan Health Service with the Department of Health is currently undertaking an analysis of the service demand and usage for the Peel Region. Coupled with the outcome of the Sustainable Health Review, they will inform decisions with regards to the management and delivery of health across Western Australia; including longer term clinical service delivery in the Peel region and the service delivery model that best suits the clinical needs of the region.
