Housing:
I refer to the $195 000 of rent reimbursement to Osprey
Village residents.
(1) How many residents are being reimbursed?
(2) Why is Fleetwood not responsible for the repayments?
(3) In relation to the service agreement with Fleetwood —
(a) has the agreement been
renegotiated;
(b) what is the current monthly
fee being paid to Fleetwood; and
(c) what is the term of the
agreement with Fleetwood?

I thank the member for some notice of this question.
(1) The number of residents being reimbursed is 145.
(2) Under the interim agreement with Fleetwood, the authority
receives all village revenue.
(3) (a) No. An
interim agreement is in place while negotiations continue with Fleetwood in
good faith around the terms of a formal agreement for the operation and
management of the village.
(b) The
department pays a licence fee to Fleetwood of $610 000 per month. It provides
the department with the right to use and occupy dwellings for key workers.
(c) The current licence and
interim agreement expires in May 2015.
