some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided to me by
the Treasurer.
(1)–(2) On
the evening of 13 December 2019, my chief of staff made me aware of an
allegation made against Mr Kaless earlier that day. The matter was referred to
the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, as it should be, and was
subsequently the subject of criminal proceedings in which Mr Kaless was
acquitted.
(3)–(4) My knowledge of this
matter is generally limited to media coverage in December 2019.
