honourable member for some notice of the question. I answer on behalf of the
Leader of the House. The following response has been provided by the Minister
for Skills and TAFE.(1)–(4) The federal government is
responsible for the migration programs, including visa applications and
approvals. Under the State Nominated Migration Program (SNMP) the state
government nominates applicants using the WA skilled migration occupation list
and graduate occupation list. The state government nominated 5,000 applicants
under the SNMP in 2024–25.
