SCHOOLS — CHILD
PROTECTION
5. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the Minister for Education and Training:
I
refer to the minister's response to question without notice 1416 in
which she outlined that as of 25 November 2019, six alleged offenders were attending the same public school as their
victims. As at the start of the 2020 school year —
(1) how many of the six are still
at the same school as their victims;
(2) how many of the victims of the
six perpetrators have moved to a different school; and
(3) what is the
current total number of alleged offenders attending the same public school as
their victims?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) There are five.
(2) None.
(3) A risk
assessment and management plan is put in place reflecting the individual
circumstances and arrangements. As at 11
February 2020, six alleged offenders are attending the same school as their
victims. Since 25 November 2019, there has been one new notification
received from the WA Police Force that includes an alleged offender and alleged
victim in the same school.
