In relation to the tender for innovative housing at Summers and Claisebrook Streets in East Perth, which I advocated for, can the Minister detail:
(a) the cost of the accepted tender;
(b) the completion date;
(c) whether 20% of the overall weighting of the tender was allocated to cost;
(d) whether innovation and sustainability were the key target deliverables at 60% of weighting; and
(e) how the successful tender was superior in innovation and sustainability in regards to providing public housing stock?

The Department of Housing advises:
(a) $1,698,000.
(b) Practical completion by 1 December 2010.
(c) 15% of the overall weighting of the tender was allocated to cost.
(d) No.
(e) While innovation and sustainability were not key target deliverables, the project was procured through the Design and Construct methodology allowing proponents flexibility to present proposals of their choosing. The successful tender will use modular prefabricated sections and precast concrete flooring which are innovative practices.
