The allocated $9.1 million approved
through the 2022–23 budget process will support the activities of the
Department of Communities' education and care regulatory unit. ECRU is
responsible for approving provider and service applications, completing
assessments and ratings against the National Quality Standard, monitoring
compliance, and completing investigations and compliance actions.
