(1)-(2) The State Government has committed $24 million over four years from Royalties for Regions towards the Creative Regions Program. The Creative Regions Program’s five schemes include a fund to upgrade regional performing arts and entertainment centres, professional development for local arts groups, additional funding for regional artists and organisations, support for Aboriginal art centres and support for regional tours. To date Creative Regions has reported $653,316.55 expenditure in the South West.
Performing Arts Regional Tours Boost (Boost) reported $79,974.80 expenditure in the South West. Boost is designed to increase the number of live performances and provide relevant and engaging audience development strategist through the delivery a funding program to assist small to medium Western Australian performing arts companies undertake regional touring initiatives.
The State Government has committed $16 million from Royalties for Regions to the Regional Film Fund, to help attract more film productions to regional Western Australia and support the local film industry.
Royalties for Regions provided $7.47 million to the expansion of the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.
$80 million from Royalties for Regions has been committed to the Regional Events Programs, which supports South West events such as:
