I refer to the minister’s answer to question without notice 604 indicating that the proposed food Bill will be introduced to Parliament during the autumn session. Given that autumn commences in April and finishes in June each year, is it correct that, despite the fact that the Australian and New Zealand food standards became enforceable from February 2001, the Government will not introduce the necessary complex legislation in this term of government?
