(1) Motor sport WA is an independent company limited by guarantee, the Department of Sport and Recreation is the Government agency with a charter and is charged with the responsibility of working with stakeholders in the industry.
(2) MSWA received $80,000 in 2015/16 from the Department of Sport and Recreation. The funding was to assist with the implementation and formalisation of an independent motor sports facility management entity that is representative of wider industry needs and motor sports user groups in Western Australia.
