I refer to the minister's recent media statement
regarding new bike paths.
(1) How much
funding has been allocated to the proposed Great Eastern Highway Bilgoman–Mundaring
path?
(2) What is the scope of works of this proposed path?
(3) Who has been consulted on the development of the proposed
path?
(4) When will construction commence and when will it be
completed?

It was a Freudian slip, Mr President! I thank the honourable
member for some notice of the question.
(1) The amount is $400 000.
(2) It is to
construct 2.2 kilometres of path adjacent to the eastbound carriageway from
Kintore Road to Mann Street, Mundaring, and 400 metres adjacent to the
westbound carriageway from Hardey Road to McGlew Road.
(3) It was the Shire of Mundaring.
(4) Preconstruction
works for the 7.2-kilometre upgrade of Great Eastern Highway are proposed to
commence in 2015–16, with completion in 2017–18.
