PUBLIC SECTOR —
STAFF — PERMANENCY
1100. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Public Sector Management:
I refer to the conversion to
permanency of staff of the Western Australian public sector.
(1) For the financial years 2020–21, 2021–22
and 2022–23, how many public sector staff have been converted to permanency under the government's policy
to convert existing contract and casual staff to permanent roles?
(2) As at 18 September 2023, what is the total leave
liability on the books for the state's part-time and full-time public servants?
(3) Is there an
additional leave liability created by the policy to convert existing contract
and casual staff to permanent roles; and, if so, what is the value of it?
