I refer to a Department of Housing property at 9 Aberle Street, Hamilton Hill, and I ask:
(a) how much money was spent on maintenance or refurbishment of this property in:
(i) 2009–2010;
(ii) 2010–2011; and
(iii) 2011–2012;
(b) did this property enjoy a refurbishment within the last 3 years; and
(i) if so, when, what work was done, and at what cost;
(c) when did the tenancy at this property expire;
(d) on what date was this property demolished;
(e) was anything salvaged from this property prior to its demolition, and;
(i) if yes, what was salvaged;
(f) how many properties will be constructed on this site;
(g) when is construction due to commence, and when is it expected to be completed; and
(h) will the properties remain Homeswest properties or will they be transferred to Community housing?

The Department of Housing advises:
(a)(i) $98.78
(ii) $725.49
(iii) $751.66
(b) No
(i) Not applicable
(c) The last tenant vacated on 6 December 2011.
(d) 13 June 2012.
(e) Any salvage value forms part of the demolition contract, becoming the property of the successful tenderer.
(f) Two units.
(g) The commencement date is not known at this stage as the project is currently unfunded.  The timing of construction will depend on available funding in the future and priorities at that time.
(h) Properties are currently proposed to be used for social housing, but the decision on whether they will remain public housing properties or be transferred to a community housing provider will be made at later date when construction proceeds.
