I refer to the botched roll out of the Government's C-series railcars, and I ask: (a) how many C-series railcars has the Government contracted for; (b) what is the combined total of all original tender prices in relation to (a); (c) what is the current expected total cost when all railcars in (a) have been delivered; (d) how many have been delivered, to date; (e) how many are still to be delivered; (f) how many C-series railcars have had faults registered once entering service; and (g) how many C-series railcars are not currently in service and awaiting remediation of faults or upgrades?

(a)-(g) The Government has contracted for 246 C-Series railcars (41 six-car trains), for which the contract prices are published on Tenders WA and budget information is contained within the State Budget Papers.
As at July 2025, 48 railcars (eight six-car C-Series trains) have been delivered.
