I refer to the payments for sponsorships of
events hosted by corporates, clubs and associations, by all agencies,
departments and government trading enterprises (GTE) within the Deputy
Premier’s portfolios since 1 April 2013, and ask: (a) has the agency, department or GTE paid
sponsorship fees to any corporate, club or association; (b) if yes to (a), what is the name of the
corporate/club/association to which a sponsorship fee was paid since 1 April
2013; and (c) what is the amount of each
sponsorship paid to the corporate/club/association paid to each individual
corporate/club/association?

Building and Construction Industry Training Fund
(a) The Construction Training Fund has not sponsored any events but pays sponsorship fees in the form of cash prizes paid directly to apprentices and trainees who have been selected for an award for achieving excellence during the course of their training by the organisation involved. In some cases the funds are provided to the industry organisation which passes the payment on to the recipient of the award. In other cases the apprentice or trainee has received payment direct from the Construction Training Fund.
