BUNBURY REGIONAL ART GALLERIES — FUNDING
170. Hon ADELE FARINA to the
minister representing the Minister for Culture and the Arts:
I refer to the Bunbury Regional Art Galleries.
(1) Will the
minister give an assurance that the decision to fund the City of Bunbury to
manage the Bunbury Regional Art Galleries, as opposed to providing this funding
to the Bunbury Regional Arts Management Board, will not result in a reduction
of visual arts services to the south west region beyond the greater Bunbury
area?
(2) Has the
Art Gallery of Western Australia sought assurances from the City of Bunbury
that the Bunbury Regional Art Galleries will continue to provide services to
the community of the south west beyond just the greater Bunbury area?
(3) If yes to
(2), what assurances have been provided and will the minister table all documentation
evidencing those assurances?
(4) If no to
(2), will the minister give an assurance to the south west community that he
will secure such assurances from the City of Bunbury?
