The Minister for Mines and Petroleum advises:
The survey referred to in the question was undertaken along road verges starting on the Great Northern Highway
around 25 km east of the Pardoo Roadhouse and finishing on the Gibb River Road around 135 km east of Derby, a total distance of about 700 km.
As this and all other relevant information about the survey was publically available on the Department of Mines and Petroleum's website, the Minister declined to provide the Honourable Member with a verbal briefing but instead provided a written briefing via email.
The results of the survey will be made publically available via the Department's website once processing and interpretation of the data is complete.
