The Department of Justice advises:
a) From 20 July 2022 to midnight 30 November 2025, 92 distinct children and young people have been held at Unit 18 since it opened.
b) Of those 92 children and young people who have been held at Unit 18, 54 have since been detained in an adult custodial facility.
c) Of those 92 children and young people who have been held at Unit 18, 29 were identified as having been in the care of Department of Communities (Child Protection).
