Leader of the House representing the Minister for Training and Workforce Development:
I refer to comments made in Parliament by the Minister for
Education about the Youth Connections program in which he stated —
I am led to believe the Minister for Training and Workforce
Development, Dr Kim Hames, will be discussing this issue at the next
ministerial council meeting that is coming up in a matter of months.
(1) Has that ministerial council meeting taken place; and, if
yes, when did the council meet?
(2) If no to (1), when will the next ministerial council
meeting be held?
(3) If yes to (1), did the minister raise the issue of
ongoing funding for the Youth Connections program?
(4) If yes to (3), what was the outcome of the discussions?
(5) If no to (3), why not?
