(a)-(i) Deloitte SRT Pty Ltd was engaged to undertake a study of the current and future role of Western Australian sourced natural gas in contributing to the efforts of Western Australia’s trading partners to reduce their emissions and decarbonise their economies.
The Department of Treasury required specialist expertise on economic modelling and energy export markets for a specific purpose and for a finite period only, hence engaging a specialist advisor to undertake the study was favoured over employing an expert.
The Minister for Energy and Decarbonisation received a final copy of this report.
