STATE BUDGET 2012–13
— Efficiency Dividend
403. Mr M. McGOWAN to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question.
(1) Why are the
Premier and all his ministers failing to answer questions about what cuts will
be made inside government departments, which he indicated would be made, or at
least indicated, prior to the start of the financial year?
(2) Why will the Premier not direct
his ministers to answer those questions?

(1)–(2) I am not going to direct ministers to answer
or not answer questions.
Mr M. McGowan : It's
accountability.
Mr C.J. BARNETT :
This is in a Parliament and the accountability is the midyear review. That is
the accountability point.
Several members interjected.
Mr C.J. BARNETT : I
am sorry, that is when it will be accountable.
Several members interjected.
Mr C.J. BARNETT :
We are an accountable government; we are a government of integrity.
Several members interjected.
Mr
C.J. BARNETT : We do not find this government dragged before the CCC every
other day, like you were!
