I refer to the Stop Puppy Farming Consultation being held by the department, and ask can you please clarify some comments made during the Estimates Committee hearing on 22 May 2018: (a) What did you mean by the statement that pet shops can sell puppies which are appropriately sourced from a registered breeder; and (b) How does this align with the policy document, which outlines a plan to transition pet shops to adoption centres and only sell puppies and dogs from approved rescue organisations?
