LOCAL GOVERNMENT ADVISORY BOARD — SUBMISSIONS
390. Hon SAMANTHA ROWE to the
minister representing the Minister for Local Government:
I refer to the answer given by the Minister for Local
Government in the other place to question without notice 222.
(1) Does the
Local Government Advisory Board intend to read all submissions received by the
public?
(2) If no to (1),
why was this not made clear during the submission process?
(3) Will the
Local Government Advisory Board engage researchers to read the submissions and
prepare a report on which to base its recommendations?
(4) If yes to
(3), will the researchers be experienced in local government research?

minister is confident, and I agree with him, that the Local Government Advisory
Board will assess submissions received by it in a manner that complies with the
Local Government Act 1995.
