PEEL HEALTH CAMPUS CONTRACT — RAMSAY HEALTH
CARE
877. Hon AMBER-JADE SANDERSON to
the minister representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the contract for the
operation of the Peel Health Campus with Ramsay Health Care, which expires in
2018.
(1) Has the
government already commenced substantive negotiations with the existing
operators and/or potential new operators over this contract?
(2) When will negotiations be
completed?
(3) Have some of
the issues of noncompliance, in particular problems with providing reporting
data, been raised with the operator?
(4) Will WA
Health guarantee that a public–private comparison will be undertaken so
that WA Health may be considered as a possible operator?
(5) If
finalisation of a new contract is not imminent, will the government guarantee
that negotiations will not occur during caretaker mode?
