ORD WEST BANK
662. Hon DARREN WEST to the
minister representing the Minister for Regional Development:
I refer to the minister's statement of 16 July 2013
on the Ord West Bank land development. Will all land that constitutes this
development be offered for sale by open tender; and, if not —
(a) what land will not be offered by tender;
(b) what process will be used to allocate the land not
offered by tender; and
(c) has any land already been allocated; and, if so, what are
the details?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for some notice of this question. The land
release process for Ord West Bank is yet to be agreed. Likely approaches
include open tender, expressions of interest or other suitable mechanisms.
(a) Land that
will not be available to the public includes environmental buffers, heritage
protection areas and other lands nominated by MG Corporation as part of the Ord
Final Agreement relating to native title.
(b) Land not
available to the public as outlined in (a), unless otherwise agreed, will be
transferred to MG Corporation.
(c) No land has been transferred at this time.
