Public housing—Tenant incomes
812. Hon Tim Clifford to
the parliamentary secretary representing the
Minister for Housing and Works:
I refer to the
answer that my office received to question on notice 444, answered on 16 September.
I asked how many public housing tenants were notified in 2024–25 that
they had become ineligible for public housing due to an increase in income and was
told that income and asset eligibility assessments are not collated for reporting
purposes.
(1) Is it correct to surmise that the Department
of Housing and Works does not know how many people have been made ineligible
for public housing due to an increase in income?
(2) If no to (1), can I ask for the figure for the
last financial year please?
(3) If yes to (1), does the department keep any
aggregated figures on why people leave public housing and where they go?
