I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. (1) The funding level for the service in 2011–12 was for $143 905.81, excluding GST. With the state government’s announcement of an across-the-board increase in funding for eligible organisations, the funding amount increased to $172 111.35. The contract term was for another three years until 2013–14, with an optional extension for a year. (2) The chairperson of the Eastern Goldfields Sexual Assault Resource Centre advised the Department of Health and the Women and Newborn Health Service that it was difficult to operate as a standalone service in the region. (3) The Department of Health is in the process of requesting offers for service provision in the Kalgoorlie region. It is anticipated that these requests will be received by 16 September 2011 and the evaluation of these requests will be conducted as soon as possible after the closing date.
