BENTLEY HOSPITAL — MATERNITY SERVICES
933. Mr R.H. COOK to the Minister for
Health:
I have a supplementary question. The
minister told patients to vote with their feet if they wanted to keep Bentley Hospital
open. They have voted with their feet and they have exercised their choice. Why
does the minister not stick by the commitment and promise that he made to them
to keep Bentley maternity hospital open?

The member clearly was not listening
to my first answer when I said that patients have been prevented from going to
Fiona Stanley Hospital on a postcode basis because we did not have the staff.
