The Department of the Attorney General is not in a position to provide data in
relation to specific individuals. This matter should be referred to the
Minister for Police.
(3) (a) For
the period between 21 March 2012 and the current date, four persons have been
convicted of assaulting an ambulance officer under section 318(1)(h)(i) of the
Criminal Code. None of these persons were mandatorily sentenced to imprisonment
pursuant to section 318(4), ''prescribed circumstances'', in
which the ambulance officer would have to have suffered bodily harm.

charges against them lodged in court under section 318(1)(h)(i) of the Criminal
Code. None, at the time of lodgement, had been charged under the ''prescribed
circumstances'' of section 318(4).
