I have a supplementary question. Apart from the fact that the Premier has not answered part (2) of the question, why does the Premier think that his claim of separate but parallel conversations is any different from the claim made in that inquiry in 2008? Mr C.J. BARNETT

Mr Speaker, if it has not escaped the attention of the Leader of the Opposition, I am not a lawyer. He is asking me to give some sort of legal interpretation of findings of the CCC on a case that, I might add, the CCC brought against the former member for Riverton. Mr E.S. Ripper : What it shows is that your defence is not credible and has not been believed in previous circumstances when it has been put up. Mr C.J. BARNETT : If the Leader of the Opposition wants to try to draw a parallel between my behaviour and that of the former member for Riverton, he should go ahead and do it. Mr M.P. Whitely interjected. The SPEAKER : Member for Bassendean! Dr M.D. Nahan interjected. The SPEAKER : Member for Riverton! I formally call the member for Riverton to order for the first time. I am going to give the call to the member for Scarborough. Some members might enjoy that! Several members interjected.
