SCHOOLS — CROSSING GUARDS
(1) Will the minister confirm that the Department of Education and Training has advised schools that their closing arrangements may need to change due to a directive from the children’s crossing and road safety committee that crossing guards work only within the times displayed on the school zone signs? (2) If yes to (1), has the DET received any complaints from schools on this matter? (3) If yes to (2), how many complaints have been received? (4) If yes to (1), is the DET taking any action to ensure that schools are able to maintain flexibility with regard to school closing time; and, if not, why not? Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH
