(1)-(2) The Fire and Emergency Services Authority (FESA) has recently released a discussion document that proposes changes to the funding of Fire Services and the State Emergency Service. This includes the abolition of levies on insurance premiums and the introduction of a more fair and equitable arrangement. The Government has not yet considered the proposal in full as consultation is still underway with the community and local governments.
