I guess ''actively considering'' whether we
will do that is not an accurate reflection of what we are doing. We have a
contract that goes until 2017. We do not have to do anything before the expiry
of that contract in 2017. The manager of that hospital has put forward a
proposal that requests we extend it by 60 years in return for a significant
expansion of the services it provides, and quite rightly we are looking at that
proposal to see whether that is the best option for the public of Western
Australia. I therefore think ''actively considering'' is an
inaccurate term. We are looking at the proposal that has been presented, and
the government will make a decision in the future.
The SPEAKER : That concludes
question time.
Mr
D.A. Templeman interjected.
The
SPEAKER : I formally call the member for Mandurah to order for the first
time today.
