WA Pest Parrot and Cockatoo Management Strategy
1058. Hon Michelle Hofmann to the Minister for
Agriculture and Food:
I refer to the WA pest parrot and cockatoo management strategy .
(1) Has the strategy, for
which consultation closed on 31 March 2023, been finalised?
(2) If yes to (1), where is it available?
(3) If no to (1), why not?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. I just note that this answer
was correct as of Thursday 23 October.
(1)–(3) The pest parrot and cockatoo
management report is being developed based on outcomes from community-wide
consultation on pest parrots and cockatoos, and captures legislative
requirements for the management of these birds where they are pests, as well as
controlled tools to assist stakeholders. The report is being reviewed by
relevant agencies to ensure it is fit for purpose in informing community pest
bird management strategies. It will be available at the conclusion of that
process.
