(2) Who informed or advised the minister of this incident—his staff, or the police commissioner? (3) Did the minister seek or receive a briefing note on this matter? (4) What did the minister do when he was informed of this incident? Mr R.F. JOHNSON

(1)–(4) I thank the member for the question and for his obvious interest in this particular one. Various actions have been taken by the Corruption and Crime Commission parliamentary committee in relation to the parliamentary inspector’s report. That report is overseen by the Attorney General, predominantly, but certainly where it refers to police investigations, I obviously take a great interest. I have requested a briefing from the Commissioner of Police in relation to all the areas — Ms M.M. Quirk interjected. Mr R.F. JOHNSON : I am answering the member’s question, not the member for Girrawheen’s—his question—and certainly I will study that very carefully and I will give the member all the information that I possibly can.
