Since April 2017, the Department has conducted five internal audits.
(a) The dates the audits were conducted are:
- October 2017: Support for the Western Australian Local Government Grants Commission
- October 2017: Local Government Financial and Statutory Monitoring
- September 2017: Support of Local Government Advisory Board
- June 2018: State Supply Commission Compliance Audit
- June 2018: Enforcement, Investigations and Authorised Inquiries

(c) No. Internal audits are conducted to provide the Department’s chief executive officer and corporate executive with an independent view on effectiveness of the organisations risk management, control and governance processes.
