I refer the Minister to the Jalbarragup Road Crossing of the Blackwood River within the Shire of Nannup and ask -
(1) Is the Minister aware that consultation undertaken by the Shire of Nannup has concluded that the construction cost of the Jalbarragup Bridge has been projected at no less than $1.4 million?
(2) Given the State Government’s commitment of up to $500,000 for the project, is the Minister aware that the Shire of Nannup is unable to meet the shortfall in completing the project?
(3) Will the Minister reconsider the State’s current position and commit to the immediate full funding of a new bridge within the Shire of Nannup?
(4) Will the Minister formally respond to an official request from the Shire of Nannup to utilise some of the funding pledged to explore options relating to, and effecting subsequent works, to complete entry points to the river crossing and stabilising the crossing itself?
