(1 & 2) A commitment to the community paramedic position in Newman and three new paramedic positions in Port Hedland and Karratha was made possible through the Royalties for Regions/Pilbara Health Initiative, with funding available from 2009 - 2010 across five years.
The community paramedic position in Newman has been continued and following finalisation of service planning, the positions based at Port Hedland and Karratha (and surrounding communities) will be filled without delay.
