MINISTER FOR EDUCATION; TOURISM — ACCOUNTABILITY
I have a supplementary question. Does the minister regard it as acceptable that, without reference to a minister, a board during a caretaker period would have an out-of-session meeting to approve a payment; and, on whose watch was the money paid — Mr C.J. Barnett : Yours. Mr E.S. RIPPER : The Premier should wait a minute and listen to the question. Do not be arrogant. Listen to the question. Minister, on whose watch was the money actually paid to this dubious organisation? Dr E. CONSTABLE

The decision to enter into this contract was made while the previous government was in office. Mr F.M. Logan : Absolutely spineless! The SPEAKER : Member for Cockburn, I do not know that those comments are necessary. I formally call you for the first time, as I do the member for Girrawheen.
