Road safety—Caves Road and Bussell Highway
136. Hon Steve Martin to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister
for Transport:
I refer to the
intersection of Caves Road and Bussell Highway, known locally as Monaghan's
roundabout.
(1) Can the minister provide, for the
last three years, the total number of:
(a) recorded traffic incidents; and
(b) infrastructure damage reports, such
as downed streetlights and signage?
(2) Is the
Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure aware that local residents
have reported at least three streetlights being destroyed in the last 12
months alone, suggesting that it is a significant safety hazard?
(3) Will the Cook government conduct a
safety audit of the roundabout?
